Restaurant Jakob's Esskultur

The best meal of our Europe trip was at this quaint restaurant. Each course was exceptional, especially the sauces used in the dishes. After a long day of sightseeing in the city, it was a great way to end the day. I had to find the chef after our meal to compliment him on such a fine meal. I would stop in Salzburg if I'm ever nearby just to eat at this restaurant.

We were looking for a good restaurant and actually got one of the best experiences I ever had! The place is beautiful and inviting. Refined but not too posh or bureaucratic. Good cutlery and glassware both in looks and quality. The staff service was friendly, care-full, efficient and consistent. You could see that they had a well designed process and everyone knew and followed it. The wine glasses constantly filled. The food was absolutely delicious and straight to the point. Nothing over the top with fancy names. Just perfectly made and well presented. This rule applies from the bread, butter (specifically good) and starters to the deserts. Thanks a lot for having us!

Dear Google. Yet again I need to give a 6 star rating. We were here for our last meal of a 17 day Austrian experience, and 3 days in Salzburg. The dishes on offer are outstanding, from ingredients to presentation and service. We wanted for nothing. I loved the way the team worked around the tables. It was a delight to experience. Also a great selection of wines to choose from. This family oriented restaurant is a jewel of Salzburg and not to be missed. Do book in advance.

Whilst visiting Salzburg we had a meal here. From the moment we stepped inside the door we felt special. The restaurant is very intimate and we were treated extremely well. The meals were fantastic, beautifully presented and tasted perfect. The chef and staff must have a passion for their craft as it showed in the smallest of details. We were explained to the different dishes and wines that would accompany them. Me being non-alcholic we unfortunately didn't sample the wine. The meal was without doubt one of the best meals I've ever eaten. The host made sure we were attended to at every moment. We'll definitely be visiting again when we visit Salzburg again in December. The evening was perfect. Thankyou.

My wife and I ate here our first night in Salzburg and could not be more impressed. From walking in the door to leaving, we had the most amazing experience. The host and sommelier were fantastic at helping us pick our food and wine. We wanted Austrian wine and were impressed with the bottle of Alzinger we were recommended. The food was way under priced. I expect this quality from a Michelin restaurant for twice the price. We started with the beef tartar, then got the duck breast and pike perch, and ended with the apricot cake. Each dish stood out on its own. We loved this place and highly recommend it!

A perfect restaurant. The food is amazing in my opinion the best restaurant in all of Salzburg. Jacob and his wife give you an experience of food and hospitality above and beyond. All the dishes we tasted were perfect and the wine matched just right. The score of the restaurant 10.

One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was amazing, the ambience managed to be both cozy and chic, and the whole place felt warm and welcoming. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend more.
